Stephanie began her yoga journey in 1990 after being injured years prior in a motor vehicle accident in which she sustained many injuries. Stephanie discovered a yoga class for people that suffered with chronic pain. She fell in love with yoga as it strengthened her emotionally and physically, finding that it really calmed the mind.
After many years taking that class, she was able to try other styles and modalities of yoga, including Iyengar along with Restorative Yoga.
With the desire to deepen her practice and knowledge of yoga, Stephanie enrolled in the YTT and completed a 200 hr YTT at the Yoga Loft in Wilmington in June 2014. She also completed mindfulness meditation training- Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).
As a licensed clinical social worker, Stephanie has always enjoyed helping and encouraging others and she felt that teaching yoga is another opportunity to do that.
Stephanie's humor adds lightheartedness to her yoga classes, which are Vinyasa-based utilizing breath work, concentration and proper body alignment.
